Meredith Kirton brings to media a fresh face and sparkle in horticultural pursuits. Her books include DIG, PLOT, AN HOUR IN THE GARDEN, and HARVEST, which was recently awarded the Horticultural Media Association's Silver Laurel award for Best Gardening Book.
Meredith professes a lifelong commitment to gardening and horticulture.Over the last 20 years or so that Meredith has been involved in the plant industry she has had a varied career including writing, teaching, consulting, retail, garden design and speaking at various events across Australia.
Enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge with others, Meredith has also worked as a gardening lecturer, as a horticultural researcher,and acting as a tour guide to gardens both in Europe and in Australia.
Although she doesn’t sound like Alan Seale, live on compost and blood and bone like Peter Cundall, or have a beard, and wear woolly jumpers like Don Burke, she does have extensive experience in horticulture and enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge with others.
